NORTHPORT, THE LARGEST AND PREMIER DOMESTIC GATEWAY IN THE COUNTRY
Northport manages, operates, and maintains the 60.96 hectares facility. With the continuous port development facilitated by Northport, it has now a total of 5,758 total berth length which is dedicated for both Terminal 1 Vessel operations and Terminal 2- Multi-Purpose and RORO- passenger operations. It caters to the majority of domestic cargo trade in Manila. Northport has an annual volume of 1.2 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU)s and could accommodate all types of vessels.
Northport is a state-of-the-art domestic terminal in the Philippines, that provides the best technology and modern equipment, it also invests largely in an equipment fleet with an ever-increasing quantity of quay cranes and berths. It is the country’s first and largest commendation of rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTGs) deployed in container yard operations. Northport is proud of its globally competitive operational efficiencies that afforded fast and safe cargo movements.
This premier domestic gateway specializes maritime port management that mainly facilitates container shipping or transshipment services. Efficient and modernized terminals function smoothly, thereby reducing the waiting time for ships and increasing shipment output.
In 2010, Northport begun its commercial operation in Manila North Harbour in Tondo, Manila. And in 2013, It has opened its passenger terminal.
